If you have a scar on your face, you’ve probably thought of minimizing it.
“Can I cover up a permanent scar?” “How can I hide my lip scar?” “How long do you have to wait to cover up a scar?”
We hear these questions all the time and the answers are the same: “Yes, we can camouflage a lip scar with cosmetic tattoo!”
Do you have a lip scar? Cleft lip reconstruction? Dog bite? Memento from a childhood coffee table incident? Regular body scars can also be covered with scar camo paramedical tattoo.
What is scar camouflage tattoo?
With scar camo tattoo, a highly trained and experienced artist can reshape and color your lips to give back the color you have been missing as well as using scar camo tattoo to minimize the scar outside your lip. Scar Camo Paramedical Tattoo can be life changing.
It’s common that clients travel from near and far to see us to have their lips reshaped and redefined due to many reasons including a dog bite or accident. We also work on cleft pallet reconstruction and lip reconstructive clients who need scar camouflage or lip blush combo. By assisting these people with our services, they’re able to feel more like their authentic selves and regain that confidence.
So how does lip blush tattoo help cover a scar?
Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that adds color to the lips offering a fresh blushing. Colors range in density and tone, completely customizable! The artist spends time to ensure lips are shaped perfectly and color can be added to get full coverage on scars. This can recreate a lip where it is missing entirely.
A touchup is of course included so that we can ensure lips are evenly shaded. This is a two-part process and occasionally an additional touchup is required but your artist can tell you if that’s needed before proceeding in the initial appointment. We take careful time and precision to make sure nothing is rushed. We want to deliver a natural look and ensure it ages well over time. Our Daela artists are equipped to handle the smallest to most drastic of scars.
For those wanting to camouflage just a small part of the lip, we can color match your natural lip color and fill your scar. This will not include any shaping or color of the entire lips. Men can use lip blush tattoo to cover scars and mis-shaped lips as well. In the image below we were able to add dimension to his upper lip. Note that the color is freshly applied and will heal to his natural lip color.
How long do you have to wait to cover up a scar?
You must wait until the scar is fully healed before attempting to cover it. Please submit photos to us and let us know when the scaring happened, and we will guide you. You can also ask your doctor if it is a recent scar, most likely they will say the same, “Wait until it is fully healed!” This could take a year or so, but waiting is worth it, you’ll get a lasting result without causing further damage.
