Before Your Lip Blush Tattoo Session:

To undergo lip blush tattooing, please ensure the following conditions are met:

• You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.

Prior to Your Appointment:

• ANTIBIOTICS: The general rule for antibiotics is: You should have finished your antibiotic course for as long as you were on the course before having any tattoo procedure. For example: If you are on a 14-day antibiotic cycle then your appointment should follow no sooner than 14-days after you have completed your antibiotics. If you have a booked appointment and it becomes necessary to take antibiotics, please call us and reschedule using this time frame guideline!

2-3 Weeks Before Your Lip Blush Tattoo Appointment:

• Refrain from receiving lip filler or injections in the lip area for three weeks prior to the procedure.
• Avoid deep exfoliation treatments, such as chemical peels, in the lip area for two weeks prior to the procedure.

One Week Before Your Lip Blush Tattoo Appointment:

• Avoid sauna sessions and tanning.
• Discontinue the use of fish oil and Vitamin E.
• Refer to our FAQ regarding blood thinners. It is advisable to discontinue blood thinners according to recommended guidelines. If you are on prescribed blood thinners, consult your doctor and inform us of their advice.

1-3 Days Before Your Lip Blush Tattoo Procedure:

• Refrain from consuming alcohol within 24 hours of your appointment.
• Avoid consuming caffeine on the day of the appointment.
• If you have a history of cold sores, obtain a prescription for Acyclovir from your doctor. Start taking it three days before your appointment and continue for three days after the procedure.
• Keep hydrated!

Lip Blush Tattoo Aftercare:

Cleansing:

• Prior to touching your lips, ensure your hands are clean.
• At bedtime, cleanse your lips with lukewarm water and an unscented soap or cleanser.
• Apply the aftercare balm provided by Daela Cosmetic Tattoo in a thin layer after cleansing.
• Repeat this process in the morning and evening for five days.
• Avoid excessive use of the healing balm and prevent the lips from becoming excessively dry.

Things to Avoid:

• Within the first 24 hours, abstain from consuming extremely spicy foods.
• Refrain from applying any lip makeup for one week, except for the provided healing balm.
• Do not scratch, pick, or lick dry skin or flakiness.
• Keep foreign body fluids away from the lips for five days.
• Avoid activities that cause profuse sweating for five days.
• Stay clear of swimming pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water for five days.
• Steer clear of UV exposure, including tanning booths, for five days.
• Do not undergo massages, facials, or other skin treatments for five days.
• Avoid laser light therapy, as it may affect the pigment color of the lips.
• Refrain from using exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids, or alpha hydroxy acids on the lips for 30 days after the appointment, as it may lead to premature fading.

After Your Lip Blush Tattoo Has Healed:

• Lip tattoos typically last between 2 to 3 years, contingent on lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare.
• Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 20 or higher on the lip area once it has fully healed.
• Avoid the use of chemical exfoliants on the lips, as it may cause fading.
