Cosmetic tattoo for hair loss due to cancer, alopecia, and trichotillomania
Microblading, nanoblading, eyeliner tattoo, and scalp micropigmentation are all viable forms of cosmetic tattoo to help those who have permanent hair loss.
Microblading or nanoblading, the process of tattooing realistic hairlike strokes with a hand tool into the brow area mimics the look of natural brows. Ombre brows are a type of cosmetic brow tattoo that results in a powdered brow look and can be combined with micro or nano blading. Eyeliner tattoo works well for those who have lost their eyelashes. The process for all three types of cosmetic tattoo takes about 2-3 hours and last for 3-5 years.
For those who have lost their eyebrows and eyelashes due to certain medical conditions, cosmetic tattoo offers avenues to feeling whole again.
Hair loss due to cancer
In situations where cancer has caused the loss of hair, we can offer cosmetic brow and eyeliner tattoos before chemo and after chemo.
- If done before the hair loss occurs, the client will retain what look like natural brows or retain shape to the eye with eyeliner tattoo.
- Post-cancer survivors have come to us months or years later because, even after they’ve completed treatment, and stopped taking medications, their hair has still not grown back.
We love being a part of the process that gives back some normalcy, it’s an amazing and touching experience for all involved.
Scalp micropigmentation is another type of cosmetic tattoo that replicates what hair would look like on a head that is kept with a ‘shaven look’. Scalp micropigmentation also works to give density to thinning hair.
Hair loss due to Trichotillomania (TMM)
We see clients dealing with Trichotillomania often. Approximately 1 in 50 people suffer from TMM. So, what is it? TMM clients have an obsessive disorder to pull hair that often causes bald spots. This can be in the head, brows or lashes. We are so happy to help these clients when we can. TMM sufferers can benefit from microblading, nano blading, ombre brows, eyeliner tattoo and scalp micropigmentation.
Hair loss due to Alopecia areata
Alopecia affects as many as 6.8 million people in the U.S. alone. Alopecia causes hair loss on the head and body. Those who have Alopecia can benefit from microblading, nano blading, ombre brows, eyeliner tattoo and scalp micropigmentation.
What is the appointment process?
All appointments begin with a full consultation. If you have an extreme situation, or are very nervous, we can also consult via email or text. You can share pictures with us, and our artists can determine the best approach. Then, you will come in and have a full, in-person consultation. We look at your situation and discuss it with you until you feel comfortable.
If you choose to move forward, we take photos so we can chronicle your before and after. We will then numb the area to be treated with a cream that rests for 20 minutes. All shapes will be drawn with a makeup pencil so you can imagine and approve the result. If you have any photos to show your artist, we encourage it! We love to see what you envision. Once your shape is drawn you will have the opportunity to approve or ask for changes, we will work together to achieve the perfect look. Then we get down to doing the work. Once we are done, we will supply detailed after care instructions (which are easy) and you can immediately go about your life.
There is no down-time!
The best part of this process is that the pain is minimal and ends with hyper realistic results. We use the industry’s best products and smallest needles to ensure optimal results. We love our clients, and we love to help people. This is our passion, and we are here for you those of you that need us. Please email us with any questions and we hope we sparked the interest to look more into this amazing life-changing service!
