About Scar Camouflage
Scar Camouflage Tattoo: Scar camouflage involves DAELA expert artists using specialized cosmetic tattooing techniques to blend scars and stretch marks with the surrounding skin tone, making it less noticeable. We can match the pigments to your skin color and create a natural-looking result. Please reach out to us to see if you are a candidate for a scar camouflage tattoo.
Inkless Scar Serum Treatments: This remarkable process utilizes cutting edge scientific biotech breakthrough for skin rejuvenation and tissue regeneration. The serum we use contains stem cells that are responsible for cell-to-cell communication, signaling the body to repair and restructure the scar tissue. Your artist will use a rotary tattoo machine to precisely needle the affected areas and apply the stem cell serum. The needling causes controlled trauma, signaling your body to repair the scar tissue and the serum aids in restructuring and healing, smoothing out the scar and reducing the appearance.

What is Radiation Marker Camouflage?
- Radiation markers are placed on the body near the area being treated by radiation. Sometimes these markers are small tattoos.
- We combine micropigmentation with tattoo ink to disguise your radiation markers with flesh-pigment ink.

- Inkless Scar Serum Treatment utilizes a tattoo machine, without ink. A rotary tattoo machine is used to cause controlled trauma to the scar tissue while inserting a specialized serum into the skin.
- This treatment triggers the body to jumpstart the healing process and will minimize and soften the scar.
- Scar Camouflage Tattoo uses skin tone ink which camouflages the scar to match the surrounding skin tone.
Who is a good candidate for scar revision and stem cell treatments?
Scar revision is for anyone 18 or older who wants to minimize the appearance of their scars. However, this service is not recommended for those who are prone to keloids or severe hyperpigmentation. Also, scars must be at least one year old to be considered for treatment.
Is scar serum treatment the same as microneedling?
No!
Microneedling and scar serum treatments are not the same. Microneedling requires a different machine that has larger cartridges with many needles. Scar revision, on the other hand, uses cartridges with fewer needles to easily penetrate the skin and focus on the specific scar and stretch mark that needs treatment. Because of its unique characteristics, it's believed scar serum treatment is a more effective scar and stretch mark treatment than microneedling.
How long will your scar serum treatment last?
Scar serum treatment is a permanent solution. You may only notice discrepancies if your weight is unstable.
How many sessions for scar treatments??
Both treatments typically take 2 sessions, but sometimes, more sessions are necessary. It will ultimately depend on the size and depth of the scar and the amount of trauma there was to the skin.
How long does it take for your scar to heal?
There's no set timeline for when your skin will heal after your scar treatment. Typically, it takes about four weeks-eight weeks to heal. Afterward, your artist can determine if more sessions are required.
Will scar treatments eliminate your scars completely?
No. Scar treatments will not completely eliminate the appearance of your scars. However, most people notice a 50-70% improvement after they complete their treatment.

Follow the aftercare instructions and use the aftercare products recommended or provided to you by your artist.
Wear loose fitting clothing.
Apply a cold compress over the top of your clothing on the treated area every 2-4 hours for 10 minutes for the first 2 days to help with swelling and faster healing times.
Wash your hands first! To keep the area clean: Gently wash with a mild unscented cleanser.
For at least 5 days avoid vigorous exercise that may cause excessive sweating, and hot environments like saunas/hot tubs/pools or hot showers/baths.

Refrain from sun exposure and always use an SPF 40 or higher on the treated area when exposed to the sun.
Do not worry about the area appearing darker and bolder, it will soften and lighten.
Refrain from microdermabrasion and strong chemical peels in the treated area until completely healed and you have completed all treatments.
