Whats the difference between Ombre and Microblading?
Ombre powder brows create a shadow makeup brow look, whereas microblading replicates the hair with tiny strokes. Microblading uses a hand tool, whereas ombre brows uses a machine for application. Ombre brows are a better option for oily skin or those looking for a more powdered look.
Who should get Ombre Powder Brows?
What is a color correction?
Color correction appointment is available for clients with previous tattoo that is altered in color. Color that needs correction can appear grey, yellow, blue, red and green. If your brows are still brown in tone, this would just be considered a new appointment BUT photos are still required for anyone with previous work to ensure we can work in the brow area.
How long to Ombre Powder Brows last?
Ombre powder brows usually lasts around 2-3 years. Ombre Brows can be easily refreshed as often as every 6-12 months. It is up to each individual if they refresh or let them fade before doing them again! Ombre brows are buildable and can range from light shading to dark and dense based on preference.
Do Ombre Powder Brows damage the natural brow?
Ombre brows will not cause future hair loss or cause damage to the skin as long as you are seeing a highly skilled artist. There should be no damage to any of the existing hair. Do your research, read reviews and ask for their credentials. Make sure you’re seeing a seasoned professional to get the best brows your money can buy.
Does it hurt to get Ombre Brows?
A topical numbing cream is applied prior to tattooing. We also use a numbing gel throughout the process to keep you comfortable. Most people agree that the process is fairly painless, and 100% less than what they were expecting. Remember that everyone has a different pain threshold and this is a tattoo. If you’re concerned about the pain, just let us know and we’re happy to numb for longer before the appointment. Just call ahead!
What is a combo brow?
A combination of microblading and Ombre Brows! Microblading hairstrokes in the front to give you a soft natural front with shading in the back for a crisp defined tail.
How do Ombre Brows look freshly done vs healed?
At first Ombre Brows appear bold, crisp and vibrant during the first week of healing. You may even think they look too dark. As they heal they will settle into a soft powdered look. At your touchup you can decide if you want to keep them soft looking or retain a more bold appearance.
