Permanent Makeup Pricing at DAELA Vancouver

FAQ's Permanent Makeup

Prices vary nationwide for cosmetic tattoo procedures, falling within a predictable range of $600-$1000 when you add the initial appointment with the touchup pricing.

  • Prices may or may not include the touchup, so double check, making sure you are comparing apples to apples. You will want to have your touch-up; it is very important.

The range of prices from low to high can be attributed to:

  • Artists Mastery & Reputation
  • Pigments & tools used by artists.
  • Reputation of Studio

Because you are considering a cosmetic tattoo on your face, we suggest that you don't go with the cheapest artist you can find, but instead look for the best artist you can find.

Cosmetic tattoo has long been referred to as permanent makeup (PMU) and the industry is the permanent makeup industry.

The procedure of embedding pigments into your skin to create the look of makeup creates a long-lasting result. But is it permanent?

  • The answer is yes and no.

Whether you have lip blush tattoo, eyeliner tattoo, or any style of brow tattoo, the typical timeframe for them to look their best is between 2-3 years, upwards of 5 years for some people.

  • So, doesn't that make them semi-permanent?

The reason that they aren't truly semi-permanent is because 'semi-permanent' would suggest that after a certain time frame they will completely fade away. But even though the results will fade over time, they may never completely disappear.

  • Rendering them neither permanent nor semi-permanent.

Because techniques, pigments and tools have vastly improved most cosmetic tattoo procedures can be either refreshed, covered up or even lightened with a removal process so that you can have them done again.

  • If you have old work that you would like to cover or refresh, give us a call!

All services involve minimal pain. Some find the pain involved almost non-existent while others may feel it a bit more, this varies from person to person.

  • Our artists use topical numbing throughout the process to assist in mediation of pain.
  • Most reported pain, if any, registers about a 2-3 on the pain scale and does vary a bit from service to service.
  • One thing for sure: We make sure you are comfortable and relaxed through the entire procedure and any discomfort diminishes almost immediately after the procedure, with lip tattoo clients experiencing just a bit of swelling that goes down in a few hours.
